Common failure inspection of Marine lighting.

Common faults are generally classified into three types: short circuit fault, ground fault, and break fault.

1. The short circuit fault is usually caused by the damage caused by damp or insulation of the circuit. The phenomenon is: a power, air switch to jump or fuse wire to burn off. When checking, the power supply should be cut off first, the multimeter should be placed in the Rx1 file, and the two gauges rods are placed at both ends of the line (at this time, because there is a short circuit in the circuit, the multimeter pointer refers to zero); Then, each parallel branch switch is disconnected one by one to eliminate. When the circuit breaker is disconnected, the resistance indicator of multimeter is obviously increased, indicating that there is a short circuit fault in this branch.

2. Ground fault. The grounding fault of the ship lighting system can be checked by 500V megger. The insulation value of the lighting circuit should be greater than 0.5 megaohm. When the insulation resistance value measured by megohm meter is less than 0.5 megaohm or zero, it indicates that the circuit is affected by moisture or insulation, and the aging results in a decrease in the insulation resistance of the ground or a short circuit.

3. Break fault. The fault of the ship's lighting system is not clear on the line, the light bulb is not bright. Most of the reasons are caused by mechanical damage of the line, which is caused by the vibration, and the light switch contact is not good or damaged. The finding of the fault point can be used in the "electricity method" or "power cut".
